Volunteer

Volunteers and Visiting Service Providers

Volunteers are an essential part of our College community.  Your time and efforts are appreciated by the students, the staff, and the leadership team.

There are various opportunities to volunteer at the College like classroom assistance, excursions, field trips, tuckshop, sports team support and cultural support.

We are committed to the protection of children and young people and upholding their right to a safe and secure environment. The Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools (TCS) has developed an online induction module for volunteers and services providers that sets out our expectations and commitment to student safety.

We require all volunteers to visit the TCS website and read, understand and follow the relevant code of conduct, student protection information, including the induction video.

Once you have read and viewed the relevant information, you must complete the declaration form and return it to OLSCC administration for approval.  This form must be completed fully, be accompanied by a copy of proof of vaccination and be signed by the volunteer.  Approval must be received in advance of volunteering.

Please note this is an annual process renewed at the commencement of the school year.

We have six Student Protection Contacts at the College.  They are Peter Cuskelly, Carey Twidale, Simone Forbes, Kristen Bennie, Katrina Ballantyne and Tim Lincoln.

Working together we aim to create and maintain safe environments for our students, staff, and families.
